Order Your Home Test Kit for Test to Release
From 15th February onwards, passengers allowed to enter England from outside the Common Travel Area, excluding countries on the UK Government’s Red Travel Ban list, must:
- quarantine for 10 days at their own home / stay with friends or family / a hotel or other temporary accommodation that is not a managed quarantine hotel
- take a mandatory coronavirus (COVID-19) test on day 2 and day 8 of quarantining as per the travel testing package requirements using the UK Government CTM scheme
- follow the national lockdown rules

If you’re planning to use the Test to Release scheme for Day 5 testing for early release from your quarantine, you must still take a government approved test on or before day 2 and on or after day 8, unless you’re exempt. SYNLAB cannot currently offer the Day 2 or Day 8 testing due to government guidelines, please visit Quarantine Booking (ctmportal.co.uk) for advise on this.
Please note even if you get a negative result from your Test to Release and are released from self-isolation, you still need to take a government test on or after day 8 to check that you do not have COVID-19.
